Introduce yourself!

My name is Sam. I'm 23 years old and will be 24 on the 28th September this month! This means that I am a Libra so I love me a bit of balance but I also align with some of the traits of a Virgo such as being organised and a planner. I am from the North West of England. I love all things books, cake, photography, arts&culture, and technology.

Something most everyone wants to know… do you have any pets?

I do! I have 3 cats and a dog. We got Helena (ginger) & Smudge (black) from a Rescue Shelter (they're siblings!) Belle (tortoise shell) we were given from one of my Dad's friends as her owners dog kept trying to eat her! She actually went missing for a few months but with a bit of tuna in a cage we got her back. My dog is called Casey she's a Jack Russell. They're all adorable and full of character.

What is your favourite thing to drink?

Hot - Tea, Hot Chocolate (with all the trimmings)

Cold - Coca-cola, Appletiser

Alcoholic - Cocktails, Amaretto w/ Coke, Archers w/ Lemonade

What is your favourite season?

Autumn

When and why did you start your blog?

Just today! To share my love of reading with the world and to give myself a creative outlet in which to write. I got fed up of having no one to discuss my love of books with in real life so I thought I would get involved with the lovely book community.

Who are some of your favourite authors?

B A Paris, Ruth Ware, Beth O'Leary, Drew Davies, Peter Swanson, Jill Mansell, Paula Hawkins.

What genre do you read the most?

Love me both some contemporary romance, some mystery/thrillers/horrors, and a sprinkle of time travel/sci-fi.

Which popular book didn’t live up to the hype for you?

A Little Life, The Fault In Our Stars, Room, The Power, The Goldfinch, Station Eleven.

Who are some popular authors you haven’t read?

Lisa Jewell, John Marrs, Hank Green, J P Delaney, Rory Power, A S King, V.E.Schwab, Riley Sager, Colleen Hoover (a lot).
